Daily Rhythm 2025 - 2026
Raleigh Day School currently follows a traditional school year calendar.
EARLY CHILDHOOD
Early childhood classes begin Wednesday, August 27, 2025 and will end Friday, May 29, 2026
Class times are Monday - Friday 8:30 am – 12:30 pm (Drop-off from 8:15am - 8:25 am)
GRADE SCHOOL
Grade school classes begin Wednesday, August 27, 2025 and will end Friday, May 29, 2026.
Class times are Monday - Friday 8:30 am – 3:00 pm (Drop-off from 8:15 am - 8:25 am) with the following exception:
Classes will be dismissed on Thursdays at 2:00 pm.
AFTERCARE AND EXTENDED CARE OPTIONS:
Early Childhood aftercare: 12:30-3:00
Early Childhood extended aftercare: 3:00-5:00 (2:00-5:00 on Thursdays)
Grades aftercare: 3:00-5:00 (2:00-5:00 on Thursdays)
ON-TIME ARRIVAL
The opening of each school day is a special moment for the teachers and the children at Raleigh Day School. When morning exercises are interrupted by a late child, it affects the whole class. It is essential for the well-being of the children and their classes that they arrive on time.
We request that parents have children arrive 10-15 minutes early so they are ready to begin their morning.
ON-TIME DISMISSAL
There is also a rhythm to the closing of the school day. Waiting to go home is hard on the children. Teachers cannot provide adequate supervision after regular hours. It is equally important that the children be picked up promptly at dismissal or aftercare times. If you will be delayed or your child will be absent, please notify us through Brightwheel as soon as possible.
