Raleigh Day School is a Waldorf-inspired school, and aspires to become the first school in Wake County to be recognized by the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America (AWSNA) as a Waldorf School. We are Associate Members of Waldorf Early Childhood Association of North America, and recently became recognized as a Registered Initiative with AWSNA.

The heart of our school is our teachers who are committed to ongoing professional and personal development. Our faculty consists of teachers who have received certificates from Waldorf teacher training institutes and those pursuing certification through Waldorf teacher training institutes.

We accept children ages 3 to 6 years of age for our early childhood forest program.

We currently offer a combined class of 1st- 2nd grades and 3rd-4th grades as well as 6th grade.

All families interested in exploring our school are encouraged to meet with our Administrative Director, Dr. Lucy Chartier. In-person visits are preferred, however, virtual sessions are available upon request.
